I’m Tyler, and I create receptions where your college friends, your coworkers, and your grandparents end up on the same dance floor. The DJ you talk to is the DJ at your wedding.

The name Golden Hour comes from that fleeting stretch of light just before sunset, when everything feels warmer, softer, and more true. Nobody has to pose for golden hour. It just happens.
That’s the kind of reception I love to create. Not a wedding that looks perfect in photos while guests stay at their tables, but a night where your college friends, your coworkers, and your grandparents all end up on the same dance floor.
The DJ you talk to is the DJ at your wedding. As an open-format DJ, I read the room instead of running a pre-made playlist, connecting different eras and styles so every generation has a reason to dance. I save the mic for the moments that matter, with no hype-man routine, and I step out from behind the booth to be part of the room instead of hiding behind it.
From our first conversation to the final song, my job is simple: listen to your vision, take care of the details, and give you a night that feels like you, with everyone you love on one dance floor.

Where do you DJ?
I’m based in Clarksville, Tennessee, and I DJ weddings throughout Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Indiana. I’m also available for weddings anywhere in the country.
Travel is quoted individually, based on the distance and whether an overnight stay is needed, so you only pay for what your wedding actually requires. We’ll go over it together on our call, before anything is booked.
Will the DJ I talk to be the DJ at my wedding?
Yes. When you reach out, you’re talking to me, and I’m the one who plans the night with you and DJs your wedding. There are no hand-offs and no surprise substitute on the day.
That matters more than it sounds. Everything you share on our calls, from the song your dad has to hear to the moment you want to keep private, stays with the person who is actually in the room.
What’s included, and what does it cost?
Weddings start at $2,095, and that includes everything most couples need: up to six hours of coverage, ceremony audio (even when your ceremony is in a different spot than your reception), cocktail hour music, MC and announcements, a wireless microphone for toasts, uplighting and dance floor lighting, your own Client Portal, and a planning call about a month before the wedding.
There’s no add-on menu and no surprise fees. If your celebration runs longer than six hours, additional time is $150 per hour, and travel is quoted based on your location.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 6 to 12 months before their wedding, but there’s no limit. If you already know your date, it’s never too early to ask.
Spring and fall are the most popular seasons, so if you’re planning a Saturday in those months, it’s worth checking sooner rather than later.
How do we reserve our date?
Your date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and your non-refundable retainer is paid. Until then, the date is still open to other couples.
Before you sign anything, I’ll walk you through every detail on our call, including what’s included, how the timeline works, and the terms, so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to.
Are you insured?
Yes, I’m fully insured. Many venues ask their vendors for a certificate of insurance, and I’m happy to provide one.
Just let me know at least 14 days before your wedding. Requests made closer to the date may include a rush fee.
What happens if equipment fails?
I have backup equipment in place, so a technical hiccup never becomes your problem. Most couples never know it’s there, and that’s exactly the point. Your night keeps going, and you keep dancing.
What if our day doesn’t go according to plan?
It happens more often than you’d think. Rain moves the ceremony, dinner runs long, a toast goes a little longer than expected. Adjusting the timeline in the moment is part of my job, and I’ll keep things flowing so the night still feels effortless to you and your guests.

Can we choose the music?
Absolutely. In your Client Portal, you’ll build a must-play list and a do-not-play list, and we’ll talk through the moments that matter most to you. From there, I read the room and shape the night around your taste.
If you’d like me to take guest requests, I’m glad to. I play the ones that fit the night you’ve described, so your dance floor stays true to your vision.
Do you play explicit music?
No. I don’t play explicit music. Your grandparents, the kids’ table, and your college friends should all be able to enjoy the same dance floor, and a great night doesn’t need it.
Can you handle our ceremony if it’s in a different spot?
Yes, and it’s included. Most ceremonies happen in a different area from the reception, so I bring a separate sound setup, with battery-powered speakers and a lavalier microphone for your officiant. Every guest hears your vows clearly, whether you’re in a garden, under a tent, or at the edge of the woods.
Do you MC?
Yes. I handle your announcements and key moments, like your grand entrance, first dance, toasts, and send-off, and we plan each one together ahead of time.
What I don’t do is the hype-man routine. When I’m on the microphone, it’s because it matters, and I step out from behind the booth for those moments to be part of the room.
Is our wedding too small for a DJ?
Not at all. Some of the best nights are the smaller ones, where everyone knows each other and the dance floor fills up fast. Whether your guest list is small or large, my focus is the same: bringing your people together and keeping them there.
